head athletic trainer/physical therapist for the Los
Angeles Dodgers, making her the first female head
athletic trainer in the history of major professional
sports. Falsone will continue working for the Phoenix-based firm Athletes’ Performance, where she is vice
president of performance physical therapy and team
sports, spearheading a new partnership with the
Dodgers.

has received the award for Graduate of the Last
Decade from the UNC School of Nursing. Zomorodi
is a clinical associate professor in the UNC School
of Nursing and conducts research at the Duke Uni-
versity Medical Center in the areas of intensive care
nursing, leadership skills, nursing competency and
issues related to end-of-life care. She has traveled
twice to Uganda as a member of the Duke Neuro-
surgery Medical Mission Team, including a summer
work experience trip with UNC nursing students.
