office for Axio Research LLC. The office will provide
biostatistics and other contract research services to

has been elected president of the Charlotte chapter
of the American Marketing Association. Eubanks is

2011 Distinguished Alumnus by the UNC School of
Information and Library Science. Goble, director of the
South Carolina State Library, served on the GAA Board

(’94 AB) of Raleigh, former brands manager for Red
Hat, has published The Ad-Free Brand, a guide to
inexpensive ad campaigns that use digital strategies.
Grams is a partner at New Kind, a business created

Pepper-Dickinson (’94 AB, ’ 97 JD) of Wellington, Fla.,
has been named an Alston-Pleasants counselor by
the trustees of the Alston-Pleasants Post-Graduate
Scholars Fund. Pepper-Dickinson, a former trustee
and undergraduate Alston-Pleasants scholar, is a
lawyer with Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs PA,
where she specializes in wills, trusts and estates law.

career was with the home building company Pulte
Group. He coached boys’ football and served in the

’ 95 Karen Ann Erickson (’ 95 PhD) of Chapel Hill has received a UNC School of Education Alumni Achievement Award.
Erickson is the David E. & Dolores “Dee” Yoder Distinguished Professor of literacy and disability studies
and director of the Center for Literacy & Disability
Studies in the UNC School of Medicine’s allied health
sciences department. In 2010, Erickson received
the Robert E. Bryan Public Service Award from the
Carolina Center for Public Service. In 2011, she
received the Village Pride Award from WCHL for her
dedication to literacy issues and her work at Efland-Cheeks Elementary School, where she implemented

’ 96 William Terrelle “Boogie” Henderson (’ 96 AB) of Chester, Va., has been inducted into the Green Bay Packers
Hall of Fame. Henderson retired in 2006 after a 12-
year career in the NFL, primarily as a blocking fullback. Henderson received a 2011 Bravo! Award
from the Chesterfield Public Education Foundation
for his support of educational programs in the Richmond, Va., area and of 2BNB, a program that provides transportation to and from Richmond for those

by the UNC School of Law. Campbell, who was
selected as a Leader in Law by the N.C. Lawyers

legislative and executive representation at Ragsdale
Liggett PLLC. ◆ Vincent Lamar Carter (’ 99, ’01 AB)
of Daytona Beach, Fla., has made a $2.5 million
donation to the Carolina Basketball Family Fund. The
largest donation to date, it paid for the renovation of
basketball offices in the Smith Center and will support the operating endowment for the men’s basketball program. Lettermen’s Lane, the brick walkway
between the Smith Center and Koury Natatorium,
will be named for Carter, who played at UNC from
1995 to 1998. He is an eight-time All-Star with the
NBA and a member of the U.S. team that won a
gold medal at the 2000 Olympics. ◆ Dr. Garry
Conille (’ 99 MPH) of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, was
elected prime minister of his native country of Haiti
in October. Conille has a medical degree from the
University of Haiti to go with his master’s degree
from UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health,
and has extensive experience as a United Nations
