It’s 10:30 on Saturday night, and you wonder where they
are now, the children you dropped off at their dorms three
days before the start of classes. Well, Target, of course.
About 2,400 students, armed with discount coupons, made
their first road trips on the Back-to-School Express, organized by UNC’s Division of Student Affairs, to get whatever
they’d forgotten or decided they needed after they arrived.
The store provided buses running on a loop until after midnight. Target closed at 10 and reopened, with a party
atmosphere, to Carolina students only.
