SIGHTINGSSIGHTINGS
It’s one of the more imaginative reuses of
existing space on this old campus. The six-month-old Stallings-Evans Sports Medicine
Center at the rear of Woollen Gym is where
varsity athletes go for training and injury
rehabilitation — its services are available
to all students — in a 4,700-square-foot
athletic training room. The king-sized rehab
ward is the old Women’s Gym, built during
World War II by the Navy and given to the
University.
