is an audit partner and the partner-in-charge of public
policy and corporate governance for Grant Thornton.
He collaborates with members of Congress, regulators
and key policy groups to shape policy affecting the
accounting profession, investors, businesses and the
global capital markets. u Michael John Hawk (’ 90
MBA) of Prague, Czech Republic, has received a
Global Leadership Award from the Kenan-Flagler
Business School Alumni Association. Hawk is co-chief
executive and president of Bonton a.s., the media
company he launched with four Czechs in 1990. Initially a record label, the company expanded to multimedia and is now a film company, Bonton Film. u

named to the N.C. Future of Retirement Study Commission. Ross, the representative for N.C. House District
