Jar lids, bottle caps, coffee stirrers, corks and the tops off detergent bottles. A mandala is a geometric design used in Hinduism and Buddhism as a meditation aid. This one, on the floor of the atrium in
the FedEx Global Education Center, was made by people from the campus and community using
items that can be recycled and those that are destined for the landfill. They had help from Durham
recycle artist Bryant Holsenbeck. All the leftovers were collected by the Global Cup Cafe, which is in
the Global Ed Center.
