SIGHTINGS
It was a slightly colder-than-usual winter in Chapel Hill, and those of us
past our intramural prime felt it a little deeper in our bones. But the
drive out Raleigh Road on near-freezing evenings provided a reminder
that students make their own heat as they wind down on the soccer
field. The mid-February action is on the artificial surface of Hooker
Field, originally known as Carmichael Field bordered by the old basketball arena — under renovation at far right — and the newer field house
for football practice and the track team.
