Now that’s Tar Heel pride! David Buckler always
dreamed of attending UNC, but the competitive requirements for out-of-state
applicants prevented him from pursuing that dream as an undergraduate. Even
after earning a master’s degree at George Washington University and building a
successful career as a defense contractor, David still had this one regret. But through
Carolina Courses Online, he was finally able to fulfill his dream. After completing a
UNC Media Criticism course via the Web, he proudly bound his course work and
official UNC transcript into a leather book. And in an unexpected twist, the course
even inspired David to launch a successful side-career as a film and TV actor.
