Blue Haven
Summer is when kids usually go off to camp, but what about the rest of the family? The GAA’s Camp Blue Heaven offers a chance each year for the whole family
to spend a weekend in August at the facilities of Camp Cheerio in the North
Carolina mountains playing games, soaking in the scenery, visiting with old friends
and making new ones. There also are opportunities to learn something new, whether
a bit of everyday science or how to follow through on your jump shot. ■

Horseback riding offered a great way to take in the
scenery. Camp Blue Heaven also is about learning
with friends, young and not quite so young, such as
exploring science or honing basketball skills with Eric
Montross ’ 94.
