Park, N. Y., has been named administrative vice president, corporate procurement at M&T Bank in Buffalo. Kristin Leigh Cox Humphrey (’ 98 BSPSY) of
Huntersville has received a doctorate in counseling
psychology from Michigan State University.
Humphrey is a staff psychologist at the W.G.
Hefner Veterans Administration Medical Center in
Salisbury. Rachel Ann Linville (’ 98 AB, ’01 MA)
of Rochester, N. Y., has received a doctorate in
Spanish literature and language from the University
of Maryland. Linville has been named an assistant
professor in the department of foreign languages
and literatures at the College at Brockport, State
University of New York. James Michael Lowell
(’ 98 AB) of Washington, D.C., has been appointed a
U.S. diplomat with the 141st Foreign Service Officer
Class at the U.S. Department of State. Lowell and
his wife will live and work in two-year increments at
embassies and consulates around the world. Lowell
worked for eight years in the U.S. House, including
more than two years with U.S. Rep. David Eugene
Price (’ 61 AB) from N.C.’s 4th District. Paul
Anthony Meggett (’ 98 JD) of Chapel Hill has been
elected a member of the N.C. Bar Association
board of governors. Meggett is associate general
counsel for the UNC Health Care System. Michael
Armstrong Myers (’ 98 AB) of Winston-Salem has
been named to a three-year term on the board of
directors of Sci Works, a Winston-Salem based,
hands-on science center and educational park.
Myers is a lawyer with Bell, Davis & Pitt PA.

Fla., has been recognized as a Fulbright
senior specialist in global and public
health by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship
Board, the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs
of the State Department and the Council for International Exchange of Scholars. Haley collaborates with
international governments on initiatives involving
health care reform. In 2007, he worked with the Chinese government. In July, he implemented summits
