’ 92 Billy Crudup ’ 90 (AB) of New
York received a Tony Award in
June for best performance in his
featured role in the play Coast of Utopia.
Crudup, who has appeared in numerous film
roles including Trust the Man, The Good Shepherd, Big Fish and Almost Famous, earned Tony
nominations in previous years for his performances in The Elephant Man and The Pillowman.
Christine Williams (’ 92 AB) of Tallahassee,
Fla., is a new co-leader for the reactivated Big
Bend Carolina Club.

winner of a Sweet & Smith’s SportsBusiness
Journal Forty Under 40 award. Jerry

has been promoted to shareholder with Littler, Mendelson PC, where he practices man-agement-side employment and labor law.

has been named assistant director of international affairs for the Public Accounting Oversight Board in Washington, D.C. Mia Hamm
(’ 94 AB) of Manhattan Beach, Calif., has been
elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
Hamm led the UNC team to four NCAA
championships before going on to win two
Olympic gold medals and two World Cup
soccer titles.

December through the National Board for
Professional Teaching Standards.

been promoted to manager of the Hibriten
office of Bank of Granite. Michael Stewart
Glazer (’ 95 AB) of New Brunswick, N.J., has
been named dean of Burson-Marsteller University, a global public relations and communications counseling firm that specializes in
training programs for senior executives.
Susan Kulp Herder (’ 95 MS) of St. Paul,
Minn., appeared on Jeopardy in April, winning
two of three games to bring home $34,202.
