1:every era, Carolina has been in the care ofvisionary leaders and loyal friends who have helped to drive the University's teaching, research and public service mission. William R.
Davie set the cornerstone and opened our doors. Cornelia Phillips
Spencer reopened the University after the dark days of war and
Reconstruction. Frank Porter Graham ensured that the
University excelled in its mission of teaching, research and
public service even in the midst of Depression and war.
The University is in our care for a brief moment in time. We
are responsible for the quality of institution that we hand over to
the next generation.
Chancellors' Club members provide resources that ensure that
Carolina continues to lead in teaching, scholarship and service.
A gift of $2,000 or more to Carolina will entitle you
