A Seminar in Collaboration with the Ackland Art Museum
It was the poet John Keats - a scientist trained as a physician as well as a
leading figure in English Romanticism - who famously announced in
'Ode on a Grecian Urn" that "Beauty is truth, and truth beauty:
As an exploration of science and art, our seminar will examine
some key relationships between the natural world
and artistic beauty impliCit in Keats's dictum.
